Ah! The spring weather in Vermont can only mean one thing, Rasputitsa (which means “mud” when translated from Russian). While most of the professional peloton is racing in the Spring Classics in Belgium and France, BHCC got to experience the mud, snow and pain caves of Vermont. This 40-mile race features dirt roads, hill climbs, and snow patches with a total of 4234 ft of suffering thrown in to keep everyone humble.
There were 1300 registered racers for Rasputitsa 2018. BHCC had some notable finishes with Nick Stevens coming in at 35th place overall and 10th in his age group.
Scott Taylor got 2nd in his age group and 58th overall.
